Ledwood Mechanical Engineering, Mainstay Marine Solutions and CELSA Steel UK have been named as the three Welsh companies selected to take part in the first Fit 4 Offshore Renewables (F4OR) programme in Wales.
This project will involve three wind turbines producing more than 110 million KwH/year by 2025, which is equivalent to the consumption of 50,000 inhabitants.

The TIGGOR programme will support companies within the North of Tyne area to de-risk and accelerate their technology, and boost the local offshore renewable energy supply chain.
Ørsted has signed an agreement with Eversource to acquire Eversource’s 50 percent share of Sunrise Wind, a 924 MW offshore wind farm which would deliver power to New York.
The project proposes 90 floating wind turbines for an expected maximum installed capacity of about 1,300 megawatts (MW) and an expected production of about 4 TWh/year.
Vattenfall has now completed 100 per cent of the offshore wind farm Vesterhav Syd. This means Vattenfall is delivering fossil free energy to 170.000 Danish households.
